Project Implementation Manager

We are looking for an experienced Project Implementation Manager to lead large and parallel projects across multiple African countries. As a Project Implementation Manager you’ll be leading projects, involving key partners, customers, stakeholders and other teams to deliver on the strategic and tactical objectives within our exciting and growing company.

Additionally, you would be accountable for the general implementation strategy, framework and tools, general reporting and communication, project leadership, process improvements, developing and implementing best practices.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementation of multiple projects and/or systems in various countries across Africa, and ensuring the KPI’s for these projects are tracked.
  • Responsible for product procurement.
  • Review customer product demands, develop project plans and ensure implementations are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure projects are implemented in line with contractual obligations and local regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Support Manager and Account Manager to ensure single fluid representation to customers.
  • Design and apply appropriate project management standards.
  • Responsible for compiling project evaluation and analysis documents following each project and sharing with respective departments.
  • May be involved in pre-sales product demonstrations or provide assistance in scoping projects and developing proposals.
  • Follow market activity to anticipate new trends and capture business opportunities.
  • Manage future implementations and system enhancements by collaborating with various business areas and system owners.
  • Excellent software skills with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to quickly learn new software modules.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 25 - 50%.
  • Ability to be self-guided and work effectively and with sensitivity across barriers such as language, culture and distance.

  • Requirements


  • Degree in Information Technology or Project Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Project Implementation or Project Management with successful track record.
  • Preferably experience implementing projects in Africa and willingness to travel in the region.
  • Experience in the related industry is an asset.
  • Fluent in local/customer language, high level of written and verbal English.
